Kinosoo Beach is a popular destination for the Cold Lake Community, and after serving the town for decades it was due for a refresh. Our team completed major renovations, including removing existing concrete, sod, soil, and the outdated irrigation system. We replaced it with a new retaining wall, decorative pavers, decorative concrete pads, and installed a new Shade Sail structure, irrigation, electrical infrastructure, streetlights, furniture, sod, trees, and planting beds.
Given the high-traffic nature of the area, we prioritized community and driver safety throughout the project. Temporary fencing with regularly updated signage was used to inform the public about potential hazards and access restrictions. Furthermore, the site signage included contact information, so residents had a direct line of communication with our team.
The municipality planned a community beach party on July 1 which gave us a hard deadline. We utilized data-visualization software, which provided real time photographic logging of all conditions during reviews, linking any deficiency items to the original drawings. We also adjusted our work schedule which helped us maintain an aggressive timeline with under five deficiencies to complete by substantial completion.
