This mall redevelopment spanned five years. Its purpose was to rejuvenate the structure's aesthetic appearance and improve customer flow throughout the mall.
The renovation consisted of relocating the food court and the administration office, and moving Shoppers Drug Mart from an 8,800 sq. ft. facility to a new 15,000 sq. ft. location. The areas vacated by Shoppers Drug Mart, the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, and other tenants allowed for the build of a North Mall entrance.
Our work was performed while the mall was fully occupied and operational. We had to ensure minimal disruptions to shoppers and tenants.
The schedule was extremely tight and complicated. For example, certain phases of the project could not start until tenants occupying the needed spaces moved out.
We relied on our advisory and pre-construction services to coordinate efficient completion of the project. The final phase saw the addition of 22 new stores.
