Our national special services group (SSG) are experts at completing renovations in occupied and semi-occupied spaces. When we were selected to complete interior improvements for Westland Market Mall our team was ready. This project included:
- New flooring installation
- New drywall storefronts
- Painting throughout the mall including public areas, ceilings, and the ceiling in the atrium
- Upgrades to electrical light fixtures
- New glass handrail around the perimeter of the 2nd floor mezzanine and stair
Prior to the start of construction, we invested time in pre-planning all scopes of work with the owner, facilities management team, consultants, and sub-trades. During construction, we worked diligently with the owner and building operations to ensure both the tenants and the public were satisfied and safe during construction.
During the completion of this project the team faced the challenge of coordinating all improvements during off-hours, closing the mall during renovations was not an option. All work was completed between the hours of 10pm and 6am and was fully cleaned at the end of every shift to ensure the mall was suitable to open the following day.
All work was also planned accordingly to avoid any incomplete scopes that could cause a public health and safety concern the following day. We are proud to say that we received zero client, tenant, or public complaints during this project.
