The Bowness School modernization was a substantial renovation to an occupied school. The completion date of September 2016 was non-negotiable for the CBE and we were able to achieve completion by the requested date. The project team worked with the CBE and the design team to include the added scope of a robotics lab, within the original project schedule. Some of the major items of the renovation included a full mechanical and electrical replacement, a new addition to the school, interior CTS and classroom modifications, new parking area, and a new water line into the building. We also installed kitchen equipment and a new sprinkler system. The modernizations have improved functionality, security, and safety of the facility while upgrading building infrastructure and space throughout the school. There were significant challenges related to moving students between construction phases as the school remained fully operational throughout construction which we addressed and overcame efficiently.
