This project is a 140,000 sq. ft. affordable seniors living facility. The facility will house 158 units with balconies. Construction also includes a parking garage, two courtyards for resident and tenant use and a communal greenhouse with access from the facility. The facility will hold amenities such as a salon, an exercise facility, a theatre room, commercial kitchen and a dining area and a multi-faith room. New environmentally friendly technologies such as LED lighting and a Combined Heating and Power (CHP) unit will reduce Sakaw Terrace’s carbon footprint without compromising on the quality of living offered by the building.
This project is in construction and being completed via an Integrated Project Delivery method. The project collaborative design phase is complete and construction began in the winter of 2016. Currently, the project is tracking on schedule and is expected to be within budget.
