Located in the TaigaNova Eco-Industrial Park, this was the first hotel built north of the Athabasca River Bridge in Fort McMurray. This project was served from our Edmonton district. At one point, it was the closest hotel located to major mine sites. The facility was designed to the new Best Western standards and featured numerous amenities, a conference centre, an adjacent office building and a single-level parkade.
The location of this project required challenging rock excavation and the structure was CIP concrete foundation with structural steel above grade.
We used collaborative construction techniques which allowed us to optimize schedule, quality and cost for the customer.
