Work for the Icon Building included several different phases which we approached with 40 years of expertise, efficiency and with a goal of delivering quality to the owner.
The warehouse redevelopment - located in Calgary - required the retrofitting an existing building with 61 overhead doors complete with dock levelers. The slab and grade beams had to be demolished in order to remove the structure and pour the dock walls and foundations in place. The groundwork underwent excavation to provide the owner with new loading dock ramps.
From the inside, demolition was applied to exterior walls where new structural steel frames were installed to support the envelope and overhead doors. Other work involved site lighting, stairs, electrical works, heavy duty paving, and landscaping; new flashings and glazing units; drywall of demising walls; new ducting for air conditioning; electrical and mechanical upgrades and the installation of new overhead doors.
