This project was expanded within the confines of a fully operational recreation complex that was originally constructed 2001.
We were tasked with building two new NHL-sized ice rinks complete with new change rooms that service both rinks. The project also included the build of a new entrance space; an administration area; community spaces; space for future tenants and a concession area.
One site hydronics included high-efficiency boilers and a new ice plant with snow melt and pre-heat options for domestic water use. The rinks were also fitted with new ventilation systems including heat recovery air-handling units as well as dehumidification equipment.
The building was certified LEED Silver.
