This project included our national special services group (SSG). This project involved expanding a manufacturing facility into a space that will produce 40,000,000 surgical masks for frontline workers and meet the growing demand for protective gear needed iduring the COVID-19 pandemic.
Breathe Medical Manufacturing is a 30,000 sq. ft. structure - based in Kelowna, BC - began by shipping masks but is also developing enhanced product lines and medical supplies.
"We're proud to be part of this effort," said Jason Towers, vice president and district manager, Red Deer and Kelowna. "Helping a Canadian manufacturing company expand its facilities so that they can provide masks for our nurses, factory workers and all frontline personnel, will ensure safety and support the transition of our businesses getting back to 'normal.' This type of work aligns with our values and strengthens our commitment to our communities."
Area Development magazine also posted an article about the initiative and our involvement.
